The Mt. Pleasant Community Church Cemetery dates back to the founding of the church, and gravestones mark the many graves here.  In 1884, Charter Member Luvenia Plummer was the first to be buried in our cemetery.  In 1965, Jim and Etta Cashatt donated a tract of land to enlarge the church cemetery.  Later gifts were used to establish a cemetery fund to insure resources would be available for the upkeep of the grounds.
