A Special Message from Pastor Brent

Dear Friends:

I would like to extend greetings and welcome to you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is my hope you will browse the website of Mt. Pleasant Community Church, read about the rich history of the congregation, and find information about all the church has to offer.

When people ask me about the church I pastor, I often find myself saying the same things to them about Mt. Pleasant over and over again. I think that I say these things so often because they are so true.

First, I tell people you will not find any better, nicer, friendlier people anywhere than you will at Mt. Pleasant Community Church. Visitors always are welcomed at our church with warm smiles, kind greetings, and a spirit of brotherhood that you don’t often find these days.

Secondly, I tell people I am proud of my congregation for taking a stand for God and his word. While our people wish nothing but the best for their former denomination, Mt. Pleasant wanted the freedom to worship God according to Scriptures, and took the hard path of becoming an independent church – even at a high financial cost – so they might be able to do just that. We believe God will bless the church for the stand it took.

The last thing I tell people is that they should come and visit Mt. Pleasant Community Church. I tell them that because I truly believe if a person is in need of a church home, they can find no better place to worship God, become part of a church family, and grow in Christ than “the little brick church on the hill.”
